Yes i entirely agree. In earlier time it was just deliver at any cost now deliver but at lowest cost. The supply chain has gone through complete reingineering.

Great observation. Companies are doing more with less. The day-to-day tasks do not disappear. They just demand more time from whomever is left standing. That's why companies are looking to leverage technology to help themselves today and when the economy is in full recovery.
