Meet Atif Moin
As Head of Procurement for Syngenta Pakistan, Atif Moin's role is multifaceted. In addition to being responsible for local and international purchasing of materials, active ingredients, and finished products, Moin manages regulatory affairs related to import; inducts new vendors; performs materials management, planning and forecasting duties; implements corporate policies; and controls material costs.
With more than five years of experience in purchasing, Atif Moin has extensive experience in contract management, strategic sourcing, material management, and purchasing in the areas of infrastructure and equipment.
Finding Opportunities in the Midst of Recession
While the recession has brought numerous challenges, it has also brought opportunities, especially for small service providers -- something Logipi's Dustin Mattison learned firsthand from Syngenta Pakistan's Head of Procurement, Atif Moin.
During a brief conversation with between Mattison and Moin on the subject of supply chain management and innovation, Moin said the recession has enabled smaller players to enter the marketplace and build a name for themselves.
